Human dermatitis caused by parasitism of rat mites ornithonyssus bacoti (acari: parasitiformes: gamasoidea: macronyssidae)

Abstract

In this paper, based on our own research and analysis of literature data, we describe the morphology of ticks, symptoms and clinical signs, as well as diagnostics for rat-mite dermatitis in humans caused by bites of gamazoid ticks belonging to the species Ornithonyssus bacoti. The paper is illustrated with original photographs.
