Abstract
The analysis of data on arthropod resistance to insecticides based on the database of the University of Michigan (APRD) was carried out. Arthropods have already developed resistance to 349 chemical compounds, and more than 17,000 cases of resistance have been described among 612 arthropod species. It was revealed that the most extensive in terms of the number of described cases of resistance (2,265) is the Diptera order, including 71% in the field of medical pest control. 187 insecticide-resistant species of Diptera have been described including 149 species of medical significance (74%). Data on the level of resistance of a number of arthropod species in Russia are presented, as well as basic IRAC rotation schemes based on the alternation of pesticides in accordance with the group number according to their mechanism of action and aimed at minimizing the development of resistance to a particular chemical group.
