Myases, pseudomyases and transitional carrier in the practice of laboratory diagnosis

Abstract

The problem of differential diagnosis of myiasis and transient carriage is discussed from the point of view of doctors of clinical diagnostic laboratories. Several cases of unusual, controversial and exotic imported myiasis are described.
